Nike + iPod, SwitchEasy, Asics Gel Kayano 13

For all you runners out there with iPod nanos, the Nike + iPod sensor is a must have. This little sensor goes in your shoe, and detects the speed you're running, the distance, and syncs up with your computer to track your progress. It's like having a personal trainer! I'm sure this is old news for most of you though, as it has been out for a while. In any case you can get it for

$39 CAD, from the Apple Store.

Even though the sensor is great, it is specifically designed to work with special Nike+iPod shoes. This would've been okay... if they actually had decent shoes to run in. Fortunately, you can pick up a SwitchEasy adapter for the iPod sport kit. This little attachment allows you to put the sensor on any shoe.

Available for only $8 USD, from the SwitchEasy website.

The perfect pair of replacement runners are the Asics Gel Kayano 13. These are the most comfortable shoes you will find anywhere for running. It offers excellent support and cushioning, with added comfort from the Asics GEL cushioning system. Once you put these on you won't want to take them off.

$135 USD, from Asics.

Royal Elastics Icon Tex Shoes

Royal Elastics has always been one of my favourites because of their comfortable slip on shoes. Every pair of shoes that I own that have laces I tie loose enough so that I can slip them on anyway, so there's nothing better than having shoes with an elasticated closure system to cater to just that.

This model, called the "Icon Tex" is perfect for fall/winter, with its burgundy and brown details. The best part though, is the herringbone fabric panels on the shoe. I'm sure you all already know the herringbone blazer is hot, but to have that kind of detailing on your shoes? I couldn't ask for more.

$80 USD, from Royal Elastics.

Designed by Tayo Design Studio, these lights are perfect for the next time you entertain. The best part is that they're fun enough to appeal to the kid in all of us.

$150 USD from Tayo Design Studio.

Diesel Zathan 772 Jeans

These are your staple everyday jeans that you can wear absolutely anywhere. It's a medium shade of blue, perfect for any season, with just the right amount of distressing for any occasion.

Sure, a lot of guys own these jeans in this exact wash, and some might even say it's overdone. That may be true -- but there's a reason they're so popular.

Check 'em out yourself - $325 CAD, at S|SENSE.

Oh yeah, I've decided to tag and specify pricing in Canadian or US dollars -- being above the border, I figured I'd do my fellow Canadians a favour and list Canadian retailors where possible, to avoide those crazy customs fees when shipping internationally.

Memory Infinite, USB Storage

Normally I only post things that can actually be purchased, but this is just too cool to pass up. These USB thumb drives have a USB male connector on one end, and a female connector on the other, which allows for, well, infinite storage capacity, limited only by the number of drives you have.

Forget storage capacity though, these are the coolest looking USB drives I've ever seen. Kudos to anyone that can find out where these can be purchased, and for how much.

J. Fold Jetstream Wallet

Every guy has the same black wallet. If you're looking for something different that will make you stand out, get a J. Fold wallet.

There's a reason why a bunch of celebrities are using these -- they're durable, thin enough to fit in your front pocket, and definitely stylish.

These quality leather wallets come in a bunch of sweet designs and colours, but my favourite right now is the "Jetstream" model, in hunter green, with a dark brown interior.

$60, from J. Fold online.

Tivoli Audio iPAL Radio for iPod

There are plenty of iPod speakers and accessories out there, and sure, this one is a little bit older, but how many of them can boast the "Tivoli Audio" name which is synonymous with the higest quality audio products? Not only that, but all Tivoli products look just as good as they sound.

This particular model is a portable radio and speaker, designed to hook up to your iPod, and also match its stunning good looks. It's NiHM battery lasts up to 16 hours, and has the best sound a portable radio can give you.

This model is based off of the original Tivoli PAL, which, unfortunately is being discontinued. These rubberized versions come in a multitude of colours, so you might want to get your hands on one of those before they are gone.

The iPAL radio is available from Tivoli Audio, for $150.

Vessel Toro Tissue Ring

Tissue ring? Yep, exactly. Let's just say you'll never have to put up with a tacky floral print tissue box ever again. The Vessel site explains it so well, I'll let you read it for yourself:
Toro is an alternative to the ubiquitous floral-print cardboard tissue box. Part paper weight, part portable hole, Toro is made of ultra-hygienic stainless steel. The ring’s absurd simplicity is actually the result of a carefully-engineered balance of weight and size; just right to let one tissue through at a time while staying firmly planted on the stack.

Available from Vessel, for $18

Vipp 9 Soap Dispenser

The bathroom is probably one of the most overlooked rooms when it comes to design. Add a touch of class to your W/C with the soap dispenser from Vipp.

It comes in a wide range of modern colours, including white (shown), black, cream, and stainless steel. A definite must-have for the James in you.

You'll never 'forget' to wash your hands again. And neither will your guests.

Style doesn't come cheap though, at $99. Available at Fitzsu.

Nike Anvil Super

This stylish watch is perfect for the gym - the polyurethane strap will ensure that no matter how much you sweat, the watch will keep on ticking. It's also water resistant to 100m, so make sure you rinse it off after each session.

Other features include a chronograph, date, 2 alarms, and 2 time zones.

Best of all, this watch is not only functional, but looks good enough to wear out even when you're not hitting the gym.

Available for only $89 at the Nike Store. A definite Jimmy.

Diesel Zathan 60F

Dark. Dirty. Diesel.

These jeans may be pricey, but they are well worth it. The dark wash lets you dress 'em up or down, and the cut is perfect - slim and modern, but with just enough of a bootcut to fall nicely over your shoes, whether you're wearing your chuck taylors or fryes. Forget the skinny trend - leave that to the girls this season.

The Zathan cut by Diesel will never go out of style. ever.

$149 at URBN.

Apple iPhone

Need I say more?

An iPod. A phone. An internet communications device. It's all three in one. This revolutionary device lets you check email, browse the web, and call your friends, all using an intuitive 3" touchscreen interface. Oh, did I mention you can access Google maps? Yep, it does that too. MotoRazr? Meh. It's all about the iPhone.

Best of all (and most importantly), it is sexy.

Expected to retail starting at $499. A definite James.

Welcome.

Jimmy loves to get stuff. Cheap.
James loves the finer things in life. And will pay for it.

Whether you're rugged like Jimmy, refined like James, or a little bit of both, you'll find some great stuff on this blog.
