Nike + iPod, SwitchEasy, Asics Gel Kayano 13

For all you runners out there with iPod nanos, the Nike + iPod sensor is a must have. This little sensor goes in your shoe, and detects the speed you're running, the distance, and syncs up with your computer to track your progress. It's like having a personal trainer! I'm sure this is old news for most of you though, as it has been out for a while. In any case you can get it for

$39 CAD, from the Apple Store.

Even though the sensor is great, it is specifically designed to work with special Nike+iPod shoes. This would've been okay... if they actually had decent shoes to run in. Fortunately, you can pick up a SwitchEasy adapter for the iPod sport kit. This little attachment allows you to put the sensor on any shoe.

Available for only $8 USD, from the SwitchEasy website.

The perfect pair of replacement runners are the Asics Gel Kayano 13. These are the most comfortable shoes you will find anywhere for running. It offers excellent support and cushioning, with added comfort from the Asics GEL cushioning system. Once you put these on you won't want to take them off.

$135 USD, from Asics.
